Job Description:
* Design and develop the next-generation system’s performance monitoring and capacity management infrastructure for VMware's virtualization products
* Demonstrating an ability to understand complex system architectures and come up with creative solutions to challenging problems
* Taking technical ownership for key components and working through performance and scale issue
* Work with QA engineers and ensure software testability, quality, scalability and stability
* Work with the documentation team and ensure good quality documentation of the product and the API
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Masters preferred
* Strong knowledge in developing scalable distributed systems in Java
* Skilled in object-oriented design methodology and techniques
* Proven ability to deliver quality software
* Solid understanding of system architecture, including processors, memory management, storage and networking is highly desired
* Excellent communication skills and must be able to interface with customers as necessary
* Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
